The Team

  

Sean Fyfe

Sean Fyfe is the Founder and Director of Performance Physio Fitness Health He is a leading Sports Physiotherapist, Masters Level Exercise Scientist, Level 2 Strength and Conditioning Coach and Tennis Australia High Performance Tennis Coach.  Sean has worked around the world in many different capacities including at the 2012 London Olympics, on the ATP world tour and as a Physiotherapist for London's west End shows including the Lion King, Billy Elliott, Stomp, Rat Pack and Women in White . 

He is also an internationally recognised author on sports injuries for his work in Sports Injury Bulletin and a regular contributor to Peak Perofrmance.  He has worked as an educator for Tennis Australia in Coach Development and Sport Science, Sports Medicine Australia and The Australian Strength and Conditioning Association.  

Sean has also worked in National Roles as both Tennis Australia National Academy Women's Coach and National Academy Strength and Conditioning Coach.  In his various roles he has helped players achieve Junior Grand Slam and Junior World Championships, World Youth Cup success as well as many other ITF Junior and National Titles.   

He specialises in adolescent and spinal injuries, long term solutions for chronic injuries and sport specific athletic development.  One of Sean's main goals is to use his knowledge and experience from elite sport  to help all clients achieve their health and fitness goals.

  

Dalibor Bendzala

Dalibor graduated from the Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, achieving high distinctions across his clinical year of study. Dalibor is a registered member with the Australian Physiotherapy Association and a Tennis Australia Club Professional tennis coach.  

Dalibor employs a hands-on approach to physiotherapy while also having strong knowledge of rehabilitation, exercise prescription and training of functional movement. His special interests are adolescent pain, neck and back pain and sports injuries. 

Dalibor’s goals are to continue to use gym and Pilates based exercises, with effective, evidence-based manual therapy to achieve and surpass the goals of the client.

Dalibor has worked across many sports medicine clinics, working as a musculoskeletal therapist for over 10 years. In those years, Dalibor has worked with many elite athletes, including Brisbane Broncos, QLD Reds, QLD Firebirds, Wallabies and QLD Ballet. For the past 6 years, Dalibor has been working primarily as the Myotherapist for Tennis Australia, primarily the Davis Cup team. He has travelled extensively with the squad in that time and will continue to do so into 2019.

Lauren Tyberek  

Lauren graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and is a registered member with the Australian Physiotherapy Association.  Lauren is an experienced Physiotherapist and successfully worked in private practise in Adelaide across a range of sports and conditions.  She has special interests in pilates based rehabilitation, sports injuries, headache management and women's health.  Her approach has a strong emphasis on retraining movement patterns and rebuilding specific strength post injury to ensure clients can return to full activity pain free.  Lauren is an AFL fan and is loving learning to surf.      

 

  

Scott de Wever

Scott is an Exercise Physiologist with over 10 years experience in the fitness and rehabilitation industry. Scott's particular interests lie in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, specifically knee rehabilitation after undergoing an ACL reconstruction himself. He also loves athletic development and golf specific physical training. Scott's approach to treatment is injury prevention or prehabilitation 'must come before performance'. Having the ability to train more often with the required intensities is far more important than having the ability to hit the ball 300m occasionally but have no sustanability within your body. Scott treats with the goal to enhance an individiual's understanding of their own body mechanics; believing patient education is the key to long-term indepenedent management of a variety of conditions.  Scott is a dedicated clinician and is always seeking new treatment outcomes for patients.

  

Chris Hopkins

Chris has a Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology, a Bachelor of Exercise Science, Cert IV in fitness and is a level 2 Tennis Australia Coach.  He is a past professional tennis player and has also worked extensively as a strength and conditioning coach on the ATP world tennis tour. Chris has a special interest in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and helping clients return to full fitness through late stage rehabilitation before return to sport.  

  

Thibault Dubreuil (pronounced Ti-bo)

Thibault is a passionate remedial massage therapist who came to the profession through a desire help people. He has been practising for 5 years including experience with elite sport and QLD ballet. Thibault is a great listener and will formulate a remedial plan to help with injury, recover from training, improve flexibility, relieve stress or relaxation.  Thibault started with a cert IV in massage and went on to complete his Diploma.  He also has a special interest in and has undertaken specialist training in oncology massage treatment.

  

Matt Gow

Matt has been a remedial massage therapist for 5 years and amassed a wealth of experience in that time including working with Tennis QLD, Cirque du Soleil, QLD Reds Rugby and QLD Ballet.  Matt is dedicated to helping his clients maintain a healthy, active and pain free lifestyle.  He has great hands on skills, will listen to you, and use his range of massage techniques to get the desierd result. Matt is a sport and ocean lover who currently plays soccer for New Farm United.  

  

James Masters

James is an accredited exercise scientist who is currently undertaking a bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland. He has a keen interest in strength and conditioning, primarily athletic development, and enjoys working with athletes to achieve their specific fitness goals. Jimmy aims to utilise his exercise science knowledge with his physiotherapy degree to deliver rehabilitation focused on getting stronger and returning to everyday activities as soon as possible.
